I'm not surprised at all. I think the image is pretty strong and edition was smallish. The EB anti-hype is always strong with MBW but there are just too many fans out in the world who have never even heard of this place, have a ton of money and like art that is easy to look at.
I'm not surprised it sold out, I'm surprised it sold out so quickly. The Valentine's Day prints were guaranteed flips and at a much better price point, and these sold out much faster than they did. At $950 ea, I thought these would be up for a good 15 or 20 minutes, like Just Kidding.

Comparatively speaking.

someone posted at 12:03 that there were 4 left, seeing as the print went up a little after 12:00 and that by the time someone posted 4 left they were probably sold out, it likely only took 2 minutes to sell out... spread dat hate though.

Clearly haven't read back as I've said many times I like mbw and 5 minutes isn't a fast sellout for him. I remember the days of 20 seconds and oversells

we're talking about selling 130 prints at $950. when mbw was selling out in 20 seconds he was moving less prints at a fraction of that price, when 50% of the buyers were flippers. i don't know many artists besides maybe banksy and dolk that can move that many prints at that price at that speed.

How do we even know that all the prints actually sold. If you trust the MBW camp you're only fooling yourself.

How do we know they didn't sell? How do we know any artist actually sells out? Why do people only specifically hate on MBW? EVERY time MBW sells out there is someone saying it is fake. EVERY time the prints end up on EBAY people say it's the MBW "camp" selling them. MBW is laughing his way to the bank while you people cook up your conspiracy theories and make yourselves feel better about not buying the art.

MBW used to sell out 300+ pints in under 20 seconds. Those were the days of 2009/10.
