Nah,
Just weird that people would want a picture of Andre the giants face inside a star, with his height and weight written underneath. What am I missing. Why would anyone want this?

It's a throwback to Shep's old style. The height/weight thing hasn't been on a print release in around a decade, so anyone who's longed after a print from that era gets a new chance to grab one (or something reminiscent.)

It's (to me) not so much what it says but the fact that the resurgence of that text is available again. Just my opinion, but I'm glad to see an obey poster that doesn't say something like "petrol" or have poorly executed hands, or isn't political commentary or resemble an ad campaign for Target, just a plain old school image.

Imagine if there were a Pearl Jam/Soundgarden anniversary show and Kozik busted out a new batch of green ladies, and all the old school gig poster collectors go apeshit. I guess that's what I would liken it to.

That's a fair explanation...
You are correct, it's pretty solid and tidy looking, no botched hands, and it has the old Shep subject matter.

I could give a rats ass about Andre the Giant I guess is what it comes down to.
Who cares? What did he ever do?
Love a lot of Fairey's prints, for me it's the political stuff, the Ali's, and the Neil. i own some, that's one of the reasons I pooped in this thread.
Trying to throw in some positive...
The negative is that it seems like a big time waste of paper.

The whole point of Shep using Andre the Giant is specifically what you stated. You could give a rats ass. So could everyone else. But what happens when you put that big ugly mug in peoples face and they start to see it over and over? Velocity. Rhetorical velocity.
