Medusa & Shawshank are for sure favorites (although I prefer Durieux' Boogie Nights).

As far as Durieux goes, Eyes Wide Shut might be my favorite of his 2022 offerings.
But I haven’t seen it.
Shawshank was so huge.
But i don’t like better than some of Ivan Quienet’s stuff. Ivan is crushing it. But I’m obviously in the minority. I mean his editions are minuscule.
But he’s incredible.
Emek’s idea for The Black keys is iconic.
A doodled Pee Chee.
Bam.
Pretty good year.
If there was an “ Artist Of The Year “ award it would have to go to Schaw.
The My Morning Jacket Red Rocks,
The Dead And Co,
The NYE Umphreys McGee,
That Goose… all in 2022.
So impressive… he’s the guy to watch.

Esao!
Community Zoo:
drymounting enormous print.
Hands down my vote.
If I could only pick one winner … no categories…
It would be that Esao.
It’s career defining. It actually comes with a legend?
Stunning.

I don’t understand how only 9 copies of Ivan’s Dracula were printed.
Such a shame.
It’s beautiful!

Gigposter is gonna be really difficult for me this year. So many stand outs. Struggled on page two.
pay via paypal, use credit card, file dispute at the 20 day mark if suspicious. don't deal with noobs. don't trade with noobs. request feedback ahead of time. there are lots of good people 'round here.

Went with Phlegm, Durieux Shawshank, and James Jean Yeah Yeah Yeahs. GP was real tough though.

Thought poster would be more difficult because there were so many great prints. Kloc had a great year (well done, Dave). Emek’s pretty solid too, but I don't feel it this year.

I am also pretty partial to Yaylor’s Metallica and think it is quite epic (clearly in minority):

I did have it going until Munk’s Panic finally appeared on the last page. That one stands out for me the most: everything about that poster is perfect, the rocks, the gal, the melt, the font, the colors, everything. First place hands down.

Proof of these two doing it for me, lol:

Wish Mr Sperry would finally come back from touring/retirement and give us some goodness of his this year. Common, Chuck!

I checked the red rocks box and it made me think of Pete Schaw and his my morning jacket…
Every last one Of Schaw’s prints would be a worthy poster of the year winner.
Go look at his 22’s … drymounting unbelievable Year:

Emek Medusa… has to win:
