Hi Talkingdeads,
I'm not planning on making the move to Facebook. So this is likely my last entry for THC. I understand the reasoning behind switching to Facebook, but my reasons for not supporting that platform are my own(something, something. . . crazy conspiracy theories, blah decline of Western civilization, privacy issues, blah blah, to sell me fudge I don't want or need). I hope Mfaith and others that used to hang out here, and are using Facebook coordinating Horkey love, are doing well!
As I looked into The Horkey Club on Facebook, the group already has almost 500 members which is great way to celebrate the amazing work of Aaron Horkey. That footprint is significantly higher than anything we came close to on eBeans (although I suspect the previous membership requirements here would cull the new list quite a bit).
For my 2019 entry, I wanted to highlight this under appreciated gem from FurthurFrames. The details in the print from Aaron are amazing . . . from the line work to the lettering and the subtle color choices and metallics. I tried to capture some of this in my pics, but this really needs to be seen in-person to truly appreciate the artistry. Peacedog/Corey did the frame up as well. We chose a cool, antiqued outer frame, with triple mats, a blue highlight that pulls from the print and used museum glass to really make the artwork pop.
Enjoy!
Peace and love,
jpicken

again, apologies for the facebook move. I am only on it for maybe ten minutes a month, but a lot of people are there so it will be hosted there until things change, if they change. Regardless, i will always allow ebeans oldtimers the option of pm’ing me and will add you to the list manually
Unfortunately, the ebeans horizon seems to be a few tumbleweeds and a quietly echoing “oof” from codeblue as he finally posts the last comment and shuts the door to this place.
I have enjoyed ebeans and made a lot of good friends here, but yeah, there is a trickle of the foot traffic here that it used to get

pretty much the same dates as the WSL PipeMasters Surfing Contest held every year. easy enough for ME to remember. Congrats Italo Ferreira! WSL World Champion!
Very stoked to play a small part in the festivities this year! I went 3D and showed off my RVCA belt buckles and the Gilead Media Pin...each of which I consider mini-Horkey sculptures. so great to see all the new-comers with their collections enter this year via FB, even though I hate FB! also awesome to see some fantastic "favorite" and insanely unique pieces from people's photos submissions!
Thanks Mike and Matt!
ISO ANY of the now "Banjo Owl" RVCA Buckles!
