"Early staging for String Lakes Rag, my third exhibit at the Cottonwood County Historical Society’s Remick Gallery in beautiful downtown Windom, Minnesota. 🏴🏴🏴 The show opens three months from today on Sunday, September 22nd, 2019 from 2-4pm and will feature a number of prints, original drawings & ephemeral leavings I’ve produced in the 9 years since my previous exhibition at CCHS - 2010’s Midwestern Heart. Special thanks to the private collectors who generously loaned the drawings for the exhibition & to @furthurframes for the stellar presentation of said pieces... More information to come, watch this space.✨

Glad to finally see the official announcement! It's been in the cottonwood county events calendar for a while now but I didn't want to post and spoil the reveal. :) Hope to see a bunch of you there!

I'm in. Is this something we think is going to have lines? I think we're driving in on Sun.

Did anyone screenshot that WIP showcard, or whatever, he had on IG recently?

Hard to say. There weren't really lines for midwestern heart. I don't expect there will be much if anything for sale other than a show print and would imagine there will be enough of those to at least cover everyone attending.

ISO show poster buddy! Miami to Windom is just too damn far! Otherwise, I’d be in for sure!

I went to the Midwestern Heart show since it's within driving distance of me. At that time, I was of course familiar with Aaron's work, but I wasn't a diehard and didn't know a ton about his earlier work. Being naive and not knowing at all what to expect, we just showed up like maybe an hour before the show or less even and the line wasn't bad at all. Maybe 75 people? I can't remember. Got a Midwestern Heart print without a problem though. An example of how naive I was at the time, at the show he was selling the variant gray Midwestern Heart in a run of 6 that had hand drawn embellishments all over it and it was $800 I believe. I thought that price was insane, but now I probably would have jumped on that without hesitation.

Yep the variant was $800. And this was pre square days so cash only. I still remember going to the bank to make that withdrawal, fully expecting I’d see the same teller the next day to put it right back.

There's a giveaway on now on instagram for a hand addressed showcard.

Wish I could make it out from the west coast for this one... but it's not in the cards this year :(

Have fun everyone. Can't wait to see the work for this one.

Not sure if he’s even finished drawing it... you know how these guys love to push up against a deadline.
