If you didn't get a hotel, now's the time to start stalking the OnPeak site. Cancellation deadline is next week so rooms are popping up at random. I just got the Manchester this morning. You have to jump on them pretty quickly but it's doable.

Also it helps that most of us have been though way tougher (and faster) checkout processes.

Looking more and more like online lotteries for some booths / signings. I myself am stoked but also baffled by the general public's opposition to it (outside of the craziest of fans who don't mind waiting in line for 2 days for a chance to buy something).

I’m for lotteries :thumb: Hate waiting in line and not knowing what I’m going to get.

Or worse getting nothing. For example that long ass LEGO minifigure line that takes 2-3 hours for a chance?! Just make the chances online and let us avoid standing in the sun!

Pfft... everyone knows #TRUFANZ wait in line.

I think they're only doing the autographs as a lotto. The "Exclusives" section in the MemberID section was used last year for shirts, hats, etc. It'd be cool if they did it for Funko/Lego/Mattel. Guess we'll see.

But what about the HYPE!

I too am baffled about people being pissed off about this. This seems like the logical step in right direction. Curious to see how the handle Hall H after the fake wristband fiasco, I know lotteries for panels are never going to happen but it would be fun to watch the trufan fallout.

I got screwed last year because of fake wristbands, I prefer knowing right off the bat if I’m getting in or not so I don’t waste my time.

Didn't you get a free pass for this year to make up for that?

Negative, not everyone got one. I got to go to Game of Thrones and a few others over the weekend so it wasn’t a total wash.

Hey all,

I have never been to SDCC. At this close to the com would tics even be possible for a realistic price?

For those of you that have been, how crazy is it? Ive never even been to NYCC.

Just thought id start with the most epic of comic cons as i've been told..

how crazy are hotel prices and do you think air bnb or something of the like would be decent?

insight greatly appreciated..
