More Framing, Less buying. Agreed. THough I am new to ebforums, I have been collecting prints for about 10 years, huge movie and film memorbillia collector as well. Some stuff retains value some stuff doesnt, but ultimatley buy to frame, to have on display, to look at. My JP one sheet, and JP mondos are displayed over my jp film props. I love them, the remind me of when i was a kid, the feeling I had seeing my first big blockbuster in the theatres, the joy, it brings me there. I dig it, i keep it. Its nice to have something of value to sell if the chips are down, but i dont buy for that reason. I trade and sell on occasion but only to cash up to go after something I want. I think most collectors do this, but art should be shared, appreciated and if you dont appreciate what you have, get rid of it to someone who does, make your buck and go buy something you actually care about. Buy something because you have an attachment to it or if you like it.
Don't buy if you think 3 years down the road it'll be worth 5X what you paid for it.
Once you learn that, the hobby becomes MUCH more enjoyable.

Just looking in the Sale/Trade thread says it all, every body seems to selling or trading them darn Mondo posters , looks like not many people really likes or wants their posters any more.

It's a buyers market right now.
I'm in Canada and it costs more to ship everywhere, so get over it.
We want them...but wants can get out of had and be hit by the realisation that wanting paper too much renders you unable to pay bills n such. Hey, I remember when I was the new guy. People wondered who the drymount I was and what my angle was and what exactly I was here to do. fudge, Coldsore Superstar actually called me one night to talk posters, and I'm pretty sure 90% of the reason he called was just to see if I was really me or just some d-bag flipper/Rata-style-asscheeser. And I don't blame him for it.
