Mickey Lipp at it again. Just this week he banned *all* talk of the Mahalo print. Now he's just banning people for asking questions about prints, because...? Some fan group.

Message from Chuck :

“ This last month of releases has been an exciting one. I love sharing my new art prints and new concert posters as society is beginning to open again and live music returns. Thank you for your support of my art. I appreciate it!

I’ve never been one to brag about my efforts to fight bots and flippers. It’s my belief that this hobby should be fun. I’ve battled the bots for some time. There has been a rising tide of bot buyers and flippers, and I am doing my best to discourage this activity. Over the years, I’ve repeatedly worked with website engineers to block robot IPs. I’ve returned countless orders from suspicious purchases and insta-flippers. But the flippers and bots are cunning and hide behind new names, changing IP addresses, and use ever-advancing software.

Take note that on release of a new print, there are literally thousands of people going for the same prints at the same time. Not everyone can score. They go very fast.

I am pleased with the lottery release of my Grateful Mahalo print. I hope you are pleased as well. The lottery, conducted by my partners at Spoke Art Gallery, helped to make the prints accessible to real fans.

(In fact, this is the first I’ve shared the Grateful Mahalo print or spoken of it on social media or on my website since it was first released by Fans Live, and Bill Kreutzmann. I didn’t want to unintentionally alert the bot buyers.)

All winners have been notified. My apologies to those who did not win (if you did not receive a win notification by now – you’re hereby notified that you were not randomly chosen).

Congratulations to the winners! And again thank you for your support! “

Hope it isn’t “lotteries are the norm” from now on.

For real though, I probably would've sold it. But I have two kids and good feedback on ebay chuck, not like these kicks/funko flippers selling fudge to buy skittle flavored vape juice and such.

No transfer for three years (including trading). Obviously it’s not intended by Chuck or Spoke, but if this policy continues, it’s likely to lead to witch hunts, which detract from the fun of collecting for sure. Can’t have it all.

it will 100% lead to witch hunts and is a terrible precedence set by Ken/Spoke and/or Chuck.

eh i dont really see how its very enforceable.

have a proxy sell it for you. cover the edition number. have a back up account.

worst case is maybe if you are sloppy about it and they have details on who has what number you might get black balled in a sperry thing going forward.

other than that its just all for show.

but yes it will give the worst kinds of fans permission to act like cry babies and enact witch hunts.

It's nothing new - I had to "sign" some sort of contract when I bought a pair of Sisters panels from Spoke back in 2014. True flippers laugh at such attempts to thwart, some regular collectors will be deterred.

I had a really rough time selling my Josh Keyes scorch 2 after I signed that contract with spoke. Everyone that wanted to buy said "I just can't do it in good conscience knowing you signed that agreement".
