If the foil is "merely" as distracting as the wallpaper background is on the skin of most of Chuck's chicks, I would think there woulda coulda shoulda been outcries about said skin look since day 1 of Chuck's chicks phase.

Just my $0.02
I always defer to someone who's wearing a beater, regardless of what else he's wearing.

its about art
not paper most of the time
Not inculding the paper as apart of the 'art' is a one layer perspective. The paper or surface is just as much of the creation of art as the drawing/renderig/coloring.

I think the foil at times can get beyond mere gimmick and add an interesting dimension for instance foil can mimic the shimmer of water. Works great for the Sperry Pearl Jam mermaid.

Such a good point. The main reason I collect Sperry is because I just love the way the inks play with light. I'm an Art Director and there are certain colors/looks that just can not be created digitally or on your standard 4 color press. The foil adds yet another layer of psychedelia on top of the already obscured pattern hidden in the silver. Plus it magnifies the reflective quality of his custom inks.

I wouldn't say it's "as much" a part of the creation, especially with Chucks stuff. It matters of course and can have a major effect but...

ps lels at calling Chuck out for "cutting and pasting" flowers and women, being cliche etc. It's about the inks, people.
just a foil for me today, thanks

Thank you! Went for the Welker first but failed, so I'm surprised to score this Sperry since I usually fail on Spoke-Art drops.

Ha, same here. They must of only had a handful of Welkers. Circled back around and got a Sperry and a Spusta. Good enough for a Spoke drop!
