Just discovered some cool sketchbook pages of his on Hi-Fructose, and thought this might be a good start for a discussion thread for Vania's work. His own website is a bit... bare..., but you can find more info on him and his works here:

Does that face look familiar...? 8)

Here's some places that have prints available :

Gestalten used to have a stack of images available but they stopped producing them , same goes for Product Of God , that site seems to be done .

Gonna be a good year for Vania fans I'm feeling :D

Yikes, most of them are too hot for my house, but...

Thanks for the links, Stingers!

Also , second edition is expanded so has more work in it . It also has superior printing to the first edition imo .

For me he is a step above most. Napogoste is my favorite of his. Also, check out Denis Forkas Kostromitin. I've really been enjoying his stuff. The Horseback album art is phenomenal.

In case anyone missed clem's ISO thread...
Stingers wrote:Black Cat , and any others I added that have the Gestalten information where avaible in 3 different sizes , each ltd to 100 .

Gestalten printed each to order from 1 up to 100 but never sold a complete edition of any of them , and now don't sell any . So unless you find someone with one for sale
(highly unlikely) then you won't find one anywhere else .

Any that are added that have Product of God info where also printed in a similar fashion , but being as they are London based like Vania , some editions he signed fully and some in batches .
Again , not all sold by a long shot and Product of God print sales are also now defunct .

The Kwaidan print was produced by Product of God for a Gallery show in London but the rest of the edition wasn't printed , I have the only one of that .
As far as I know there are no Artist proofs of any of the prints mentioned above .

Vanilla Gallery in Japan is the only online source of prints that still going that I know of . I don't know the edition sizes or if they are signed and numbered , It should be easy enough to find out though.

Hope that helps !

Too bad I can't read Japanese. Do not really need to be buying anything anyway. Thanks for posting.

edit: nvm figured it out. looks like the one I like is a print /20 with a price tag of $400. a little steep for me but really nice. looks like it is signed by vania and is only ~8x5in.
