Breaking Bad is easily in my top 3 all time series.
Side note - I heard that "the final season" will actually be split up for 2 shortened seasons. Ergo, two more years a Breaking Bad.

That's what I read too. I think it had something to do with AMC wanting 2 more seasons, and the creators not wanting that, so a compromise was reached with a longer than normal final season, I think one more episode and a split to stretch the money machine.

This would be completely amazing. I really hope that it happens, I think Breaking Bad is definitely one of the top shows on right now.

This would be amazing if it happens. I love the show. Alongside Mad Men, it's my favourite current show on tv.

Agreed. No doubt, The Wire is the best/most important television series.Xander wrote:Number two after The Wire, maybe.mistersh0w wrote:If not THE BEST show on television.

If you don't think Breaking Bad is the best show on television you should end your life.

I mean, I don't want anyone to die or anything, but it is the best show on television.

It's the best show currently on TV, yeah. All time? No.mistersh0w wrote:extreme, but true.celloman85 wrote:If you don't think Breaking Bad is the best show on television you should end your life.

I absolutely love this show and would do backflips over doing a piece based on the show. Next to The Wire, it's been the best thing on TV.

Breaking Bad is pretty good...but it's too fantastical to take seriously enough to be like an all-time great show. It's like The Shield, good entertainment rooted in truth but way out over the edge to keep it entertaining. I love certain parts of the show -- the episode-opening foreshadowing that you can never guess how they got there, the willingness to get subtle like in The Fly -- but it's a little too melodramatic at times.
But Cranston is turning in one of the great TV acting performances I've ever seen, and that helps. But I feel like it will be remembered as Carnivale was, or Boardwalk Empire probably will be -- beloved while it's on, largely forgotten once it's done. And if it has the worst last episode ever, like Lost

I consider that show to be the most important piece of fiction since, I don't know, Dickens probably.finalfilppula wrote:Agreed. No doubt, The Wire is the best/most important television series.Xander wrote:Number two after The Wire, maybe.mistersh0w wrote:If not THE BEST show on television.

I would love one. So far, the only real art print for the show has been Doyle's print, which, while amazing, doesn't have any of the characters on it. I'd like to see a well done one with Walt and Jesse on it.

LOST had a big online/scavenger hunt aspect tied into it from the get-go. Breaking Bad does not (other than maybe looking up how to cook meth on wikipedia)
they could try to do an ARG thing like LOST, but I doubt it would be nearly as big.
