Tiny info about a Tiny Media Empire aka Daniel Danger thread

My wife loves DD's stuff.

Mine is currently looking around for an OG, more or less. So if anyone has any leads...

This year for Xmas I got her a tube of prints (because I thought she'd really like the pink "when you go" and that was free with any two others, ha) and the clayboard Spirit Board set...years ago I gave her an embellished "We Were Waiting..." and built a frame for it...it still hangs in our bedroom.

Actually one of the earliest pics I have of us is at DD's show (with Dan McCarthy) at Gallery 1988 SF, back when that was still a place.

So she's old-school with Danger, in case anyone knows of an original piece lurking somewhere. The sadder, lonelier, and I-guess-the-word-is-feminine-but-not-really, the better.

Does anyone know if the "Where do you go when you go" Pink edition is gonna be back in stock sometime? Was that one open edition too?

No idea. It's nice though, you should get one if they come back up.

I dont think i have seen anything that checks all of those boxes in a while. Seems the origianls are mostly clayboard with digital color added. Dan id be interested to know if you are doing or planning to do anything in color on canvas or board as well

There are paintings in the world she'd love, just a matter of seeing one for sale. But yeah, it's not going to be an easy get. Worth the hunt. And don't know if I mentioned it but I got her a clayboard Spirit Board set for Xmas, so that will hold her over.

And, here's a text she sent tonight, totally unprompted not knowing I've been talking about it, lest you thought I was kidding



Oh and also she just lost her dad and I gave her the pink "where do you go when you go away" print for Christmas...and "go away" is what she calls death...so she had a breakdown in the middle of opening presents, once she read the title and all. I drymounted that up, but at the same time, it's a mandate we frame that for Dad, so, excellent.

nice to get a reminder of the type of connection that art is really for. sometimes it's easy to get so caught up in the whole obsessive compulsion of collecting that we forget the underlying reasons.
