Not sure how much love there is for Baizley around here but I think he definitely deserves his own thread! Any news from Baroness, Metropolis, aperfectmonster, BoNA, any and all of it welcome here :D.

Great read. I love his intentional start at selling prints strictly at shows to actually connect with people who appreciate his music and art. You've made the hell of a chase, John.

And of course the newest news, Black Tusk Passage Through Purgatory full color screenprint. Available first at Flatstock 33 in Austin, TX. Number of screens, size, edition number is still unknown at this point but I'm sure will be announced veeeery soon.

Baizley is a true renaissance man. His guitar points make me tingly like a young boy.

By the way, the new print Passage Through Purgatory is amazing and out of an edition of 117. From the mouth of Ben himself: "I think it is the coolest thing I've ever printed." It is an art print of an album cover from Black Tusk that he did quite a while back. Now they need to do Taste the Sin to match it.

Will they have any more Black Tusk prints at Flatstock tomorrow or did they only sell 30 there? Thanks for posting!

Yesterday they still had some of the Passage Through Purgatory art print. They also have copies of Cut Them Where They Bleed(Tiger Tiger) which in my opinion is Baizleys best. Some Phantom Limbs on yellow and green. Red Album on black paper with purple ink Printers Proofs. Make sure and check out Mark McCormick's new Yob poster as well, really sick!

Love the art, just don't like the bands he designs for. The only exception would be Intronaut. Didn't he do the Valleys of Smoke cover? If he made prints for metal bands, I would be all over every one.

Nope, it was D'Andrea.

A lot of his print's don't include band names though? Mostly just Baroness if any.. which you can easily mat out. Just sayin'.

Totally understand but can't change the fact that it is associated with bands I don't like. Again, not trying to be a dick but I just don't like buying prints for bands I don't like text or no text. I'm sure that I'll end up owning some down the line.

That doesn't really make sense, Baizley or no Baizley. I understand that a print with the name of a band you like it would mean more but with no text does it really matter that much?

That's like not buying a piece of art or print because you don't like the title.
