inexpensive solution:
between 2 sheets of foamcore (30" x 40" - should be fairly easy to obtain at local craft, hobby or art supply store) held together with a dozen bull clips.
for added safety you can sleeve each print in a polly bag (4 mil) or mylar sleeve.
one step further is to mount each print on a board (archival, acid free foamcore) with corners, then sleeve each print as mentioned above.

I have a new one of those sitting on my floor. I read that someones prints were getting vertical waves in them after putting them in the portfolio. Is this true? Kinda hesitant to put my collection in there without full confidence they'll be okay
Very nice. Where is a good relatively inexpensive source for the plastic sleeves for the prints?rockbridge wrote:I'm partial to this :

This is what I do for anything larger than 18x24. I have an Itoya portfolio for 18x24 or smaller.electrachrome wrote:inexpensive solution:

I too use the 18x24" Itoyas and go the foamcore route for larger pieces, but I also have a 22x30" archival box (bottom in pic) from dickblick for all prints in between. The box works well but you can't stack anything of weight (ie itoyas) on top of it because it will sag.

Is this your own design... do you have the plans? What size 24x36 prints?

I'm in Canada and it costs more to ship everywhere, so get over it.
