Thin borders like these for giclees are perfect to frame with no mat and give an OG look. I love it.
The problem here is that he left a regular, wider bottom border for the sig.
If you want to do that, all borders need to be thin with sig within the image.

and I am totally surprised no one gave him advice about how collectors will have issues with framing this

saw his original at the thinkspace event and maybe eb hyped it too much for me but just didn't really feel anything with that piece
