Like I said, I think this was really more aimed at professionals, not primarily poster collectors, aesthetics and appearances are everything in certain professions (I've been in both Industrial Design and UX/UI professions). I was just looking at it from a materials & production standpoint rather than perceived value.Timbrh2001 wrote:Why spend $100 when you can find something much cheaper that does the exact same thing? Who gives a flying drymount about what their damn poster tube looks like? Someone looking to make a fashion statement by carrying an inherently dorky thing around like a poster tube? Hahahaha.Batsquatch wrote:Not poking fun at you guys in particular, but I do find irony in the unwillingness to drop 100 bucks (this was my initial gut reaction quite honestly) for (what appears to be) a nicely crafted & designed aluminum tube. Yet we spend hundreds, even thousands on some paper. Of course, this is probably more aimed at designers, drafters, and architects, not your run of the mill poster collector or flipper (gotta watch those profit margins).Jamilton wrote:Hahaha. It will make a nice sound when I start swinging this around in line.HAPPYNICE wrote:This is the only forum I go in so posting this here. Its a really nice way of transporting prints. And sexier than a cardboard tube https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/94 ... ation-tube

Nice catch!rerocustom1989 wrote:So I watched Howl's this weekend and I noticed that when the portal lead to the flower field the dial was set to red.
So that's my theory about why the Howl's print is done in the color red. Of course the color choice could have been arbitrary, but maybe this makes up for the "sinister" look.
