Why spend $100 when you can find something much cheaper that does the exact same thing? Who gives a flying drymount about what their damn poster tube looks like? Someone looking to make a fashion statement by carrying an inherently dorky thing around like a poster tube? Hahahaha.Batsquatch wrote:Not poking fun at you guys in particular, but I do find irony in the unwillingness to drop 100 bucks (this was my initial gut reaction quite honestly) for (what appears to be) a nicely crafted & designed aluminum tube. Yet we spend hundreds, even thousands on some paper. Of course, this is probably more aimed at designers, drafters, and architects, not your run of the mill poster collector or flipper (gotta watch those profit margins).Jamilton wrote:Hahaha. I can't imagine getting one 24x36 print, let alone two - four prints with paper/tissue in there.
Can be an online release PB when I am not trying to get the piece if I am available. Just ask.

Dude spent $100 and he still looks like a dork. I'd much rather roll my fudge up in a 4" cardboard tube and duct tape a strap onto it than that 3" waste of money.ErocAfellar wrote:hipsters. see images on kickstarterTimbrh2001 wrote:who gives a flying drymount about what their damn poster tube looks like? At least if I'm making my money I only spend a few dollars on tape and a few dollars on a strap from the thrift store and I'm done. And then I have 3 types taped together. If I'm going to an event I want to be able to hold more than 3 prints safely.

Since when did dress codes for engineers and architects go all hipster like?
All engineering documents are delivered digital nowadays anyway, carrying rolled up paper copies anywhere is a thing of the past. This really is just for poster fans.

Doesn't really fit that use-case very well though... Probably for swanky architect places.rubberneck wrote:Since when did dress codes for engineers and architects go all hipster like?

Since when did people need $50k to design and produce an aluminum tube....rubberneck wrote:Since when did dress codes for engineers and architects go all hipster like?
