I believe so. Was really excited they were releasing a new book for book 1 with illustrations, then I saw it. Meh, its cool, but not as cool as I hoped.binky79 wrote:Of course I have the standard, "ZOMG! I want these as prints on my wall!!1!" but more than that they remind me that we havent seen just a whole lot of quality HP art. Are they super stingy with the rights?
But, I did tweet with Nico Delort and he said a goal for next year was more HP art from him, so there is hope!
New Zelda collection grid, but still need more; gotta keep adding to my collection!

Hah, probably right.
So, because he already made an iconic set for the original trilogy, he should avoid the property forever because of fear of criticism?

No, but he should avoid it until he is finished digesting the film and feels genuinely inspired enough by it to make good art.Kramerica wrote:So, because he already made an iconic set for the original trilogy, he should avoid the property forever because of fear of criticism?
He's doing exactly the right thing by turning down work til then. There is no amount of crow for him to eat.
He already sounds as though he's been inspried enough. I've read his tweets and he seemed to thouroughly enjoy the movie. I'm sure he's wiser now...just needs to strike a better deal for himself than what Mondo did for his first set. I've no idea what that deal was...I just sense some bitterness regarding the subject. It's none of my business, really.middayshadows wrote:No, but he should avoid it until he is finished digesting the film and feels genuinely inspired enough by it to make good art.

Just go for it, Olly.
