It's threads like this that keep artists away from ebeans.
I posted about this much earlier. The fact of the matter is that the artists or company (MONDO) are selling the prints way to early. Wait till they are "in hand" like we have to do and the wait time will be dramatically decreased. Plain and simple. This Totoro thing is way out of hand and shouldn't happen... ever.

Thing is its up to them, if the want to presell stuff, its their choice, they are not forcing you to buy it.

25 days later...
Olly wrote:[The store page said it was a pre-order, and no shipment time was given. I had a shipping method in place but decided to change at the last minute so I could be confident they'd get out safely. It's taking longer.

If you're unhappy about the wait you can contact me for a full refund.
I'm not hating, I didn't get a Tororo. I just thought it was funny.
I have been on the outside (sort of) looking in on the argument over shipping time etc.

I think some of the frustration comes from the quoted info above.

Olly tweets that he is going to pack up the prints. Then no word for 25 days. Then another tweet about having someone else pack and ship them.

It doesn't take much effort to tweet or come in here and give updates on the current status of shipping something that was sold 2 months prior.

Just my .02 cents.
^^^I think that ultimately this is what is causing the problem. And it does seem to be quite a taxing enterprise for Olly if he is designing, rolling, and shipping all his prints. That is such a lot of work to do by one man alone (wasn't Olly looking to hire an intern to help with some of the tubing and shipping?) Factor in printing errors and personal matters, and this all creates a perfect fudge storm. I think a few descriptive update tweets or postings here would have really done a lot to diffuse the situation here. Olly is not a bad guy at all, but the lack of communication is what seems to be upsetting most people who bought a print (and I am not one of those lucky few btw...)

I woke up an hour too early for the poke drop. Fortunately this thread provided me with entertainment in the meantime. You guys are silly.

An announced time would crash the site and result in even more oversells than he gets with twitter drops, undoubtedly.
