Why are the Banksy Soup Can posters so popular considering that they aren't numbered? I understand that Banksy is one of the biggest artist's in the world but what makes these posters so special if they aren't limited? What's preventing Banksy from just selling them continuously if they are just "posters"?

They are 11 years old, any being sold now are from the original total.

Kinda answered your own question there bra.

Open editions are deceiving too. Mine as well be called an undetermined timed edition. They eventually stop making them at some point.

Don’t think their unlimited. One you’d think they’d still be up if so and two in the email they provide you your edition number. My number is close to 500 and haven’t seen anymore pop up. I heard it was 1,0000 though so maybe a lot more through the remainder of the month. Good luck.

I'd guess at least 5-10k, but I doubt they have many left after the recent purge.

I'd like it if they chose the people buying the unlimited Homer prints as lottery winners. Everything else on sale at POW has a FOMO element attached to it and I highly doubt a hand-pulled 4 color screen print published in 2012, from a relatively unknown (but extremely talented) Ukrainian artist, has an unlimited supply.

Plus, it's of Homer. And Homer wrote the Odyssey. And the Odyssey featured the character Odysseus. And Odysseus called himself Outis. And Outis is Banksy...

Everyone knows that! :P

Right around 2000 total according to past auction/gallery listings. Whether that's actually the case, I have no drymounting clue :pint:
