New Banksy Print

The fact that the British street art artist Banksy drew attention to an exhibition that was not coordinated with him in Moscow, indirectly speaks of the significance of this event for him. This was told by RBC producer and organizer Alexander Nachkebia.

According to him, the exhibition was never positioned as coordinated with the artist. It presents works from private collectors who "have the right to exhibit the artist's works at exhibitions". The producer also noted that all interviews talked about possible negative reaction of Banksy to this event.

"We have exclusively authorized works - no pieces of walls, vandalized carved against Banksy's will. All works have certificates of authenticity, "added Nachkebia. According to him, it was not easy to bring work to Moscow.

I just finished this cross body bag. I used the cover of one of my Mercury News newspapers and used a process to make it feel leather-like and waterproof. I've been making waxed denim fabric, so I used that for the backside and the lining is made from unwaxed 10oz. cotton canvas. It's a gift to myself and sorta' reflects my mood today. ::a little sad - a little depressed:: for reasons I won't go into.

Any of the above is fine with me. Maybe I'll even hand-finish a couple with text/stencil...something clever. I have tons of screen printing ink.

Well, not exactly...soupy. The only newspaper that I have are the Dismaland/Mercury news papers. I love it, so I thought I'd share. I just learned the process to rework paper in producing another product made from it. In my case, a cross body bag.

You guys don't think this is cool? To be able to make/sew something out of newsprint? So many possibilities...
