The work I'd really like to see Mr. B. turn into a print is that one of the hooded KKK'r being hung. Might be a bit politically charged to do so, but since when has he cared about that right? I would LOVE to have that as a print.

I don't think it will ever become a print. You can buy the poster of the image here. Banksy used the image to promote his Banksy vs Bristol Museum show.

Thanks for letting me know. Was hoping it was going to look more like the actual stenciled work that he did. Good to know about though.

Yes, I like that fox print a lot. I don't think I want to pay $400 for it, but I like it.

Yeah the price put me off but it's a great print. I guess the process is the main factor in the high cost of this?

Hmm. I remember this one mostly for being in the news after it was painted over by a shopkeeper who'd never heard of Banksy a few months back. Although I thought it was a fun stencil, for some reason I don't care for it as a print as much. The urban art assoc guys say it dates back to 2007 or so, and it's been called a "classic image," and I suppose it belongs in the canon of Banksy primates like Monkey Queen, Monkey Parlament, Laugh Now, Monkey Detonator (that would've made a nice print), Monkey Bomb, etc...but all of those have a more political message than this. With all of the stuff happening this year -- London riots, Occupy Wall Street, the ongoing wars, the double dip, etc etc etc, I guess I was hoping for something with more impact or greater resonance than this. Plus I agree with gonzo303 -- it is kinda reminiscent of MBW...

Still totally going for it, though.

*edit: according to Bristol24-7, the image is actually over 10 years old, which would make it one of his earliest stencil images. Okay, for some irrational, superficial reason that makes it a lot more desirable to me...

According to Pictures on the Wall new Banksy March 2012
Banksy.jpg
http://www.picturesonwalls.com/

We’ve been sitting on this for a while waiting for
developments in glitter glue technology to catch up.
And now that moment has arrived. A three colour
print with various actual sparkly options on the mask.
Available March 2012
