You would think an art forger would want to remain anonymous as well.

it was a "suggested post " that popped up on my facebook feed, i just did a bit of scrolling and found it,below is a photo of a screenshot,
my initial reaction was that it is an obvious fake, and not even a really good fake, just wanted to let you guys know to confirm, and it took all of nine minutes from my initial post for me to be satisfied that it was in fact fake

i really hope no one actually paid for this because of me

Which one did you get?

I know...Good news is that I have a few real Banksy prints, so it blends in and has a great story attached, and like I said, fake as it may be, is still (unofficially) part of the "Better Out Than In" show. It a part of the legend. So drymount it. It was 2 years ago, so I'm not feeling the pain anymore
"Part of the Better Out Than In show" = I got ripped off for hundreds by some guy on the street the month after Banksy was in NYC.

How do you justify it by saying good thing is I have a few real ones.

In my mind considering my collection, one fake piece devalues the whole lot.

Dudes be wilding about MBW but be buying sh[T like this.

Looks like at least 140 people gonna have authentic BanksKy's

I don't doubt that this a fake but the image isn't as bad as you think - looks like there was an edition of this image (500, unsigned) in 2003 http://hanguppictures.com/new-work/love-is-in-the-air. Lots of similar images in the UAA thread from way back when http://urbanartassociation.com/thread/86197

Anyone who bought this thinking it's real in any way is a damn fool and deserves to be ripped off.

That being said if it's in your wall and you don't care if it's a fake by all means have at it.

WCP is much cheaper if one is looking to go the fake route.

I agree with FOODRAP. Fakes are wack

Yes, that's it. :-)

As far as justifying it, I'm not. I offered up this information, so SHIP IT>>>>
Most of us know the story about the Banksy art booth in Central Park that only sold 4 pieces in an 8 hour day. A week later, in the same location, a booth opened that looked exactly the same as that booth and sold "fake Banksy". Those pieces sold out in 45mins with people going crazy. The artist did it to add to Banksy's statement behind his booth and video. The money was donated to charity.

These fakes where made with a direct purpose. I like the story and I'm 100% content with everything. Don't be jealous of my world famous Fake Banksy! :P and I agree that any other fake Banksy out there is pointless to own except for these IMO.

I know of another old saying, "buy the ticket, take the ride"

A fake is a fake. One fake is less pointless than another. The only reason you are saying that is the fake you bought cost you $300.
