i've always been the guy against someone even asking if they can trim anything but this damn poster is 13 x 36. Here are my thoughts:

1. i can get a standard 12 x 36 frame SUPER CHEAP.
2. i've never seen this poster framed and matted properly so why would i even try to find a mat that would work.
3. these aren't the most rare nor most expensive posters to find from the Horkey catalogue.
4. why am i even bothering to write this when i'm probably just going to do it any way?

Man, I don't mind trimming cheapo prints, but I wouldn't do it for a print worth over $200.

is it worth more than $200? i paid $200 for it a couple years back but it's a run of 400 plus another 80 in the band edition. i don't know. the fudge is pink!

I've considered trimming my Converge Fall 06, but never had the balls to do it. And, it's only a $50 poster. Couldn't imagine doing it to a >$200 print. Yikes!

i don't wanna sell it, i wanna hang it but spending $150+ to have it professionally framed isn't worth it because, seriously, how long am i gonna keep something that's pink hanging up all the time. i guess i could do the basic american frame 13 x 36 for about $45 and then another $30 or whatever on glass but i could do it for even cheaper by losing one unnecessary inch of border.

Chef, i just don't like this poster matted but i do side with you on the hurting of the horkey. what a dilemma!

I don't know, I feel bad cutting it. Would you be cutting into the art/coloring?

could you buy a 12x36 with a wide frame and chisel in 1/2" all around on the backside?

second question, would you be better off cutting it off or just folding it over. either way, you are damaging it, but i figure keeping the paper connected and folded over might be better, no?
