I'm very interested in concert poster/print artwork. Any suggestions on how to begin? Should I stick with specific artists, musicians, time frames, genres, types, WHAT DO I DO? Any suggestion on high demand artists?

My best advice is to just leave now and never look back.

Just get what you like and have fun.

Go to the concerts of your favorite bands>>>buy the posters.

Buy what you like. It's not only how we all get started, but it's also how you'll stay in this hobby

Buy what you like and only what your gonna frame. :pint:

No one ever takes this advice so just buy everything that you see.
Spend way too much on paper and hang around here busting each others balls.

THIS, even though I suck at following this one rule.

Try not to get wrapped up in the rush to score a print before it sells out or else you'll end up with a few really nice prints and a lot of filler.

I've been trying to step away from doing this, but it's pretty hard. Prints that I haven't framed yet are slowly starting to pile up in my flat.

This is good advice. I only used to collect gig posters before I joined EB, but now I'm on many different mailing lists for art prints now.

Seems like a lot us just buy anything and everything from the get go, get slightly burnt out, then get way more selective.

Start selective. Only buy what you really, really like. There is so much talent that you'll see a bunch of stuff that you like a lot - but before you buy make sure you like it a LOT a lot.

research, research, research

Wanda: I can't stand people. I hate them. Do you hate them?
Henry: No, but I seem to feel better when they're not around.
