Everything I ever ordered from John came in A-OK, no problems.

You DID remember to request that he wear white gloves when handling the prints, right? He takes offense if you don't.

I'll say it: John A. is a f@!king loser. Don't do business with LSP.

If you're expecting impeccable service, then skip Lone Star. John himself is a good guy, he's just lazy and doesn't give a fudge.

You will always have better luck buying from him through eBay... he becomes properly motivated to ship when PayPal threatens to suck the money back out of his account.

Except that he doesn't sell on the Bay anymore - his storefront is empty and he hasn't put up listings in months. Dave/philaarts still does but I haven't ordered from either in years.

You *might* have some luck telling Dave at Philaarts about your issue. He and John are pretty tight and work together on a lot of stuff, and Dave generally seems a little more motivated. Worth a try anyway....maybe....

Thanks for the tip. I'll hopefully be able to just claw back my paypal transaction if it doesn't get shipped here soon.

thegig - I was finally able to pick up my Low 07 Grezca(sp?) that I purchased from you a while back. I absolutely love it, many thanks! I'll most likely be looking for the above mentioned Arcade Fire 07 Chicago Burlesque that you have listed on your site as well (provided it doesn't show up from LS.com).

It's gonna be 1 expensive print if i can't get a refund on the above transaction. I'd been burned for 23$ already by poster57.com for this print. Hard lessons to learn for a n00b, thanksfully they were small amounts of $.

ISO trusted sellers

that'd be great, i checked your site yesterday with no luck. ISO pending the demise of the initial purchase in this thread.

Thanks again for all the tips everyone.

i've emailed Dave at philaarts to see if he might have any insight.

at worst i'm just going to wait it out for at least a few days and see if John responds to my paypal resolution email. I would hate to retract the funds unless totally necessary especially if a guy is struggling or going through something personal that's taking his attention away from his orders. i don't mind waiting a while for them to ship, i just need to know they will get here EVENTUALLY.

All is good. Just heard from John this minute via email.

He was undergoing something personal and has help on the way tonight to get things going again. Said he would throw in something extra for my patience.

As I stated above, as long as there is some sort of contact I can wait for weeks for it to arrive. Thanks again for all your input everyone. Just a n00b trying to make it in a whole n00b world. :pint:

meh, glad you got sorted but sounds like he might be tryin to protect his business from bad press- sumbich has one hell of a lot of "personal problems" goin by the amount of people who've had problems with him over the years - me, i wouldnt give him the time of day again.
