Yeah it looks like that's the case. I'm pissed because I was banking on a Nashville trip to see PJ.... Oh well.

Save up for the East Coast barrage and PJ25.

This is my band, and I hate to say it, but the boat has sailed. The live shows are nothing compared to what they were pre 2000. I guess they'd be okay if you hadn't seen them before that...

Not that I've see. Them back then, but I've listened to damn near every boot and seen footage from back in the day and heard stories, etc. Obviously the intensity can't be matched, but as a band they are light years better than pre 2000 and even most of the '00 years. They are tighter now as a band than they have been probably ever. Soo.... Not sure what boat you are talking about?

Intensity>Technic

Everytime with a Rock band. I seen them in 93' so I'm ruined.

I think that's total insanity. I have been a PJ fan and seen live concerts from day one all the way up to Denver last year and the band - if anything - only gets better.

I was at the 2000 show in Vegas (10th Anniversary show) and it was no better than Denver 2013. In fact, Denver was a better show - longer, more polished and greater intensity throughout. Also, the crowds are much better today.

I was at that show and I'll take that all day over the older shows. And the Denver show probably doesn't even crack my top 8 PJ shows I've been to. Being at those 4 Spectrum shows shattered every other concert I've seen and that was when they still weren't as good as the recent tour.

^ I couldn't agree more. Those Philly shows are all-time classics. How anyone could listen to those and think that the band has lost anything is beyond me.

I was at Denver too, and it doesn't compare to shows from Ten & Vs.
It was more like a tribute to what they were with some newer songs to represent who they've become.
This is not an argument. Just my informed opinion. If you're getting upset; you may be an angry person. Jmo

Nobody is upset, it just sounds like you are bitter and can't enjoy them anymore. Which honestly, is fine with me because then tix are way easier to get when all the old head fans still talk about how 90 minute sets with the same songs every other show are better. The old time PJ fans can be a strange breed for sure.

i have seen them over 50 times in the past 20 years or so (3 countries and about 12 or so diff states) and they are still amazing in concert but i think living in NY i am spoiled seeing so many fantastic east coast shows, they tend to be better than west coast

If you didn't see them back then, you don't have a dog in the race. You would not be able to understand. Kinda like seeing the Stones now. Not the same I'm sure. Just glad I got to see them before it became all about the money...
