Not that I've see. Them back then, but I've listened to damn near every boot and seen footage from back in the day and heard stories, etc. Obviously the intensity can't be matched, but as a band they are light years better than pre 2000 and even most of the '00 years. They are tighter now as a band than they have been probably ever. Soo.... Not sure what boat you are talking about?Greatplainsman wrote:This is my band, and I hate to say it, but the boat has sailed. I think that's total insanity. I have been a PJ fan and seen live concerts from day one all the way up to Denver last year and the band - if anything - only gets better.Greatplainsman wrote:This is my band, and I hate to say it, but the boat has sailed. I was at that show and I'll take that all day over the older shows. And the Denver show probably doesn't even crack my top 8 PJ shows I've been to. Being at those 4 Spectrum shows shattered every other concert I've seen and that was when they still weren't as good as the recent tour.downforcemedia wrote:I think that's total insanity. I was at the 2000 show in Vegas (10th Anniversary show) and it was no better than Denver 2013. In fact, Denver was a better show - longer, more polished and greater intensity throughout. Also, the crowds are much better today.
Nobody is upset, it just sounds like you are bitter and can't enjoy them anymore. Which honestly, is fine with me because then tix are way easier to get when all the old head fans still talk about how 90 minute sets with the same songs every other show are better. The old time PJ fans can be a strange breed for sure.Greatplainsman wrote:I was at Denver too, and it doesn't compare to shows from Ten & Vs.
It was more like a tribute to what they were with some newer songs to represent who they've become.
This is not an argument. Just my informed opinion. If you're getting upset; you may be an angry person. Jmo
