All-Encompassing Pearl Jam Thread
Has anyone else noticed that these shows have been about 3-7 songs shorter than the 2016 run? I’m seeing 26/27 songs compared to the normal 30-33. Maybe I’m reading too much into it, but maybe they’re finally trying to slowly shorten their sets. I know Mike has expressed that with his ailments he’d prefer them to be shorter and that it’s been discussed before.

I haven't noticed... I wonder if some of the songs have been longer which lead to less songs being played. You could be right, though. Anything less than 30 would be an eye-opener in the past, unless there were a few really long songs.DickButt wrote:Has anyone else noticed that these shows have been about 3-7 songs shorter than the 2016 run? Gutted as was going tonight again but not surprised. I was there last night and he struggled from the 1st song. About 5 songs in it was noticeable so he gave a little story of visiting 2 throat doctors in London. He said to one if I give you £10k make me sing like Adele. The Doc said, your having a drymounting laugh, that’s a million £ voice. The Doc said for £50 he could make him sound like Liam Gallagher.
But to his credit he kept going but it got worse with each song although some songs you really noticed it much more than others but you knew that he must have been doing some damage. There were some more lengthy guitar solos as he kept disappearing out the back of the stage later into the concert and complained his cough medicine (wine) was doing nothing to help.
Still a great show.

Set list seemed great. I remember he was losing his voice halfway through MSG 1 in 2016 and I thought they might have to cancel night 2 but there was a day off in between and he ended up recovering. It must be absolutely gone for them to cancel since they never, ever do.pking1601 wrote:Gutted as was going tonight again but not surprised. I was there last night and he struggled from the 1st song. London Night 2 by deathburger
deathburger Pearl Jam official poster for today's show at London O2 - A free interpretation of Saraswati + inter-dimensional travel and fruit offerings. Super healthy and peaceful, no death burgers to be found.
The bad news: Unfortunately the show has been cancelled and re-scheduled due to Eddie Vedder's voice problems. Take care Eddie I'm hoping for a quick recovery, thanks to @pearljam and @mrtsurt for having me on this tour.
Wonder if their rescheduled London show this July will have a new updated date print run.

Sharp stuff! Would be more convenient with a border to frame, but overall much nicer looking in person as opposed to the jpeg.
