Duke must be getting tons of flack about dat article. I noticed he's limited comments on his social mediers.

It’s actually a wise setup.
No money going out, & puts the artist in more control.
It is incentive for the artist to avoid chittingthe bed.
If you phone it in, you don’t get paid.
If you create an iconic image that people will kill for you can sell it for $180 a pop like Emek does.
Sure he was short with her, the gift horse had things to do.
Chris had to finish booking artists… plenty in the Rolodex that don’t need their hand held or days of reassurance. He has to wait how long to ask another willing artist and be done with it?
It’s business.
Would have been better to say, you do your research and well check in next tour.

The real question is what type of deal is Barry Ament getting from TSURT? Is he getting the "exposure" deal?

Another question - any idea what the print run is for PJ show editions? I get the feeling they're pretty high for the last few years. Then there always seems to be a Ten Club sale of show editions. Are those the unsold ones or are they held back from the venue reserved for online sales?

Just wondering because the band/TSURT is likely benefitting from this deal WAY more than the "free" 100 A/Ps the poster artist gets.

I would guess there was 10,000 Emek Eschers printed for Seattle?
Maybe more?
Wasn’t the merch was selling outside the venue for a week before the show?

Doubt this arrangement flys for Sperry, EMEK, Spus, right?
pay via paypal, use credit card, file dispute at the 20 day mark if suspicious. don't deal with noobs. don't trade with noobs. request feedback ahead of time. there are lots of good people 'round here.

It’s not really a business model though when you aren’t paying for anything, making a shitload off of the free product and “paying” out essentially in a short-term, very limited license for a product that may not sell if as you said fans don’t get/like it. Zero risk taken by one side means there’s an imbalance imo. It’s as old as time but still abusive behavior imo.

Dude’s attitude towards the artist here says it all really.
just a foil for me today, thanks
