General art-related discussion.

I would love to see some licensed merchandise coming out of the mondo shop. Don't get me wrong, I love the whole look and feel of the alamo promotional style poster with the credits/movie title/etc, but I would love to see some more official licensed stuff coming out, without all of the added details--ya know, at most the movie title with the artwork or just the artwork alone.

My picks off the hop would be:

1. repo man
2. tremmors
3. willow
4. they live
5. house (roger cobb)
6. Amityville horror (would love to see dan danger or proctor do something with this)

What does everyone else think?

1. Jurassic Park - Moss or Dan McCarthy
2. Spider-Man 2 - Stout or Tong
3. Lion King & Toy Story - Eric Tan
4. American Werewolf in London - Ansin or Bertmer
5. X1-X2 and/or First Class - Eric Tan
6. Harry Potter - Eric Tan
7. Lord of the Rings - Stout
8. Bond movies - Moss

Those are some movies that pretty much nobody ever mentions.

You could have stopped your post there. I guess this'll be a thread derailment, but whatever. So many gigposters and movie posters are essentially bootleg merch, it really sucks.

Sure, if you're throwing an event you can advertise it...but why that gives promoters the "power" to sell a few hundred for a big chunk of money can't really be explained. It's tiresome.

How about a little love for sports movies ... a very underappreciated genre.

Olly gave us a nice Rocky, here are a few more off the top of my head:

1. Field of Dreams
2. The Natural
3. Hoosiers
4. Remember the Titans
5. Brian's Song
6. The Bad News Bears
7. Eight Men Out
8. Caddyshack
9. Major League (Stout)
10. Rad :P

Just found it on vhs for $2. Has one of my favorite lines: "I can walk on water, eat bullets, and fudge ice cream!"
