Signed Mondo posters are something I thought I'd come across a lot more frequently.

There was a director-signed Ansin Moon poster I would see on my hunts regularly, for months and months. Silly price. Guess it eventually found a buyer.

There was a director-signed Ken Taylor Moon poster I'd seen on Ebay for months and months. Guess it eventually found a buyer.

can anyone recommend a good signing pen that wont have any long term damaging effects?

I've been meaning to post these for a while now. At NYCC, I had Guillermo Del Toro & Mike Mignola sign my two Hellboy posters. In addition to those, I had Del Toro sign my Pan's Labyrinth poster as well. A huge thanks goes out to Tracie Ching's mother (who was standing next to me in line... small world, huh?) for help getting Pan's Labyrinth signed. They were only allowing one item per person, and she graciously offered to have it signed for me.
And I must say, Guillermo is by far one of the nicest guys I've ever met at Comic Con. I had a chance to meet him at SDCC a couple years back and he spent a few minutes chatting with each person in line. The line was capped at around 100 people at SDCC, so it was quite nice to talk with him. Unfortunately at NYCC the line was huge, so they moved everyone through quickly... probably only 30 seconds with him. It still was the highlight of the con for me.

Apologies in advance for my crummy photography, especially for prints that were in mylar bags (we can't all be Billy).
I also met Foree at SDCC last summer (he asked where I got it from and if anyone from the movie was there). I think it was his first time seeing the print. He didn't do so neat a job on mine as he did yours, but then, I should've directed his pen a little lower before it was too late:

I had slightly better luck with my Tremors print in years prior, if only because it had more open space better suited for signing:

I also met Guillermo Del Toro at this past SDCC. jb518 is right, he is an absolute delight to chat with (I was shocked there wasn't a bigger line for him, too). I had him sign my Hellboy one-sheet, because I don't actually have any screenprints for his movies. Instead, I went with something a bit more unrelated, but still right up his alley (and he signs it in just the right way: completely unobtrusive, but still visible enough). More like a joke on my part (and more than a little wishful thinking for the future), but hey, I can dig it. I believe I was thinking of that time someone had him sign their Scott Pilgrim Bluray:

I met Jim Mickle at the San Francisco International Film Festival one year, and he proved to be a very nice individual. I mailed this to him a little later, and he returned it with his signature and the star of the movie. Feels good, even if I may very well be the only one on this board who's seen this film:

And finally, my favorite signature. He called this "the print that spoils the movie" when he saw it:

Funny you should mention Joss Whedon... I've had him sign things twice... once at SDCC and once at NYCC. This was before Avengers, so the crowds weren't insane... but still Buffy, Firefly & Angel fans are fairly rabid. Best of luck with that one...
