A GP artist was over the other day, we were drinking and flipping through the file, and there were a bunch of my Drew inks in there, and dude mentioned how much Drew has grown in the last few years. From simple flat comics-style stuff like the Arab Strap poster, into complete domination of 3D like in the Sam & Max up there. I have inks spread out over a couple of years, and you can see how they go from "rad drawing" to "complicated as hell" to "look at all the different line thicknesses and insane detail."

So I figure, now's as good a time as any to post pics of my latest frame job, on the ink for the second Gallows poster, one of Drew's most detailed drawings (that I've seen) and one of my favorite things I got. Word.

Thanks man! There's more woodgrain in there than it looks like, but I didn't feel like spending a year trying to take a perfect picture.

The only downside to framing these inks on vellum is you can never get vellum flat, so there's all that waviness in the sides, and clean mats and museum glass really show off how dirty these things get in the course of drawing/printing...but that's what they are, process pieces, so, I'm not complaining.
