Beautiful! I think there's more detail here than in the real thing. :pint:

could you send one of the scratch boards to Australia or would it get drymounted up on its way with all the handling?

because i would love one of a kangaroo and an emu (Australian coat of arms)
I could ship to the south pole if need be, I pack SOLID.

Thanks folks!
Must stop work as to not miss VERY important to me EMEK poster drop!

Thanks a lot!
So glad you folks enjoy it!

Well I have finally finished scratching all the Owl except for that last foot.
Time for some minor ink wash and then the final pass of scratching, to bring out highlights and fine tune it.
BTW this is not some anatomically correct piece it's just, "painting with razor blades."
(One of these days if I put out a book that's 1 of 2 choices for my title, btw)

Looks like I might actually make it by the 25th
(I'd be sooner if it weren't for all this holiday stuff getting in my way)

I've been watching this thread as the piece progressed. Beautiful. You must have the patience of a Saint. This thread prompted me to search for images of my fav bird-of-prey - red tail hawk. The rare white (albino) looks like an angel in flight.

Dear Tapecat,
Just to refresh your memory from our exchange when I missed out on the the first snow owl at the bleedingfingerstudio store opening... DIBS!!!

I will start funneling layaway payments for Feb if that cuts any ice! : )

Awesome work!
