Hi, if this type of post is considered spam, or if it's not in the right forum, it can be moved or deleted accordingly and I apologize.

My name is Jacob van Loon, currently attending Northern Illinois University and am one semester away from a BFA in illustration. I have done more smalls-scale, commercial-oriented art in the past, but this year especially, I have been doing more painting (as you might have seen in the Post Your Creations thread). The influence of painting is slowly finding its way into my illustration, and I'm finding a comfortable way to work with both interchangeably.

I've been posting more readily at GP, but I browse this forum frequently and have communicated with a few members here about commissions (which I am currently taking). I don't have much in the way of prints to post, my collection is pretty meager compared to the bodies of work people here have.

Jacob has serious skills, and has been a pleasure to deal with regarding the purchase of his works. He has been gracious enough to colorize a line-art work for me, and I'm more than impressed with the results so far:

No doubt. I was pretty taken with his work since machination (I think?) posted those pieces on the art acquisition thread.

Thanks everyone. Reading about what people respond to the most in my portfolio helps me focus the overall content and creation. Thanks again for looking!
