He was handing it around at MondoCon last year. Quite a bit had been, besides drawings he'd done with his kids. He's had a whole year more to work though ...

I need to make it hopefully to this "mondocon" I hear so much about. To bad they didn't have it here and Minnesota. It would be so much easier that way with a wife and kid.

aaronhorkey wrote:For the next few days I'll be outlining a little bit of my process via this account as I seem to be asked about my working methods somewhat regularly. I decided to showcase a new letter-based illustration I recently completed for @bloodmilk & her new Exquisite Corpse sister brand.⚔⚔⚔ Pictured above is the initial rough sketch I knocked out in my Moleskine sketchbook while flying across the Atlantic last month. At this stage I'm primarily concerned with compositional soundness and getting a grip on the overall balance of the piece, details are secondary at best. Working at a very small scale for these preliminary roughs is something I've always done, it's almost automatic at this point and the tiny format gives me the freedom to work almost anywhere with any materials I may have at my disposal. Pictured below the rough sketch is a drawing of a gentleman sitting across from me on the plane wearing his glasses over his sleeping mask. Part two tomorrow... #aaronhorkey #bloodmilk #bloodmilkexquisitecorpse #alwaysalert

Also, as we always tend to point out, "initial rough sketch"
