That Gilded Age image is insane. Aaron's use of negative space blows my mind.

Thanks guys. I couldn't be happier. I've got to get some glass in the frame (which was taken out for the trip from Germany) and get it up on the wall, ASAP.

Mmm, that pencil margin on (I think) Tapecat's is pretty epic... but JJ definitely got a winner :pint:

The multiple painted birds is still the best imo but both the airships and tc's are not far behind.

I gotta agree. The birds are still #1 with the zeppelins not far behind.

I may be a bit biased, but I like the zeppelins just a hair more than the birds. They're both great, but I like the subtlty and ominousness of the zeppelins lurking in the background. And they blend in with the print so perfectly they're almost hard to notice, much like the cabin remarque on the Fantomas poster. Tapecat's graphite is also way up there.

Again, I feel honored to own this thing, and I'm really glad I held off buying a Nesting for so long. If I already owned one there would be no way I'd be able to justify this purchase. And thanks to murdock for keeping me in mind when he decided to sell. He and I were both attempting to buy it off of the original owner back in the day, but murdock was the one who was able to close the deal. Truly a classy move offering it to me once he decided it was time for it to move on.
