Best live US rock band, especially recently with Vedder harmonizing. I don't see why cost is an issue. This band is kicking ass like never before.
I can't say that I hate the Decemberists. I definitely don't like them. But I love the poster that Horkey and Emek made for them. It's framed.Kramerica wrote:On the other hand, I could never hang a print for a band I can't stand.

Overall, I agree with this. Though I do have and love (I guess the reason I have them) a couple of Depeche Mode Coachella tees that I did not attend.fredo wrote:Tshirts are the real personal concert memento deal. Posters are more like historical markers.
Anyone grab the NIN? Thought it was one of his best recently, and also thought it was a bit weird he waited this long to announce/sell it.

+1 on both reg and foil. I agree that it is some of his best work. But Todd never goes backwards. Always seems to outdo himself.
I've heard the reg on this is amazing and might even be better than the foil. I thought the recent QOTSA prints were that way.

Lies are a funny thing. They slip through your fingertips because they never happened to you. Time wounds all the heals as we fade out of view

+1 on this when it dropped. Less than 10 left!

Song providing the inspiration:
Todd Slater wrote:The imagery for this one is based off the track Get In The Mind Shaft. After reading lyrics for the new record everything about this track jumped right off the page. The spoken word intro varies from CD to vinyl and all other formats. I looked for a thread to link all the passages together and felt each spoke about a deep seated awakening. They vary from a musical awakening in learning to play a new instrument to meeting an unrecognizable version of yourself. I think they are about entering a place in your mind that you do not fully understand; a place that you may not be fully aware exists.
.
Stylistically, I looked at Cameo and silhouette portraits and frames as a starting point. The blue background has 3 distinct layers of blue patterning and textures for added depth. The final layer features a shiny clear spot varnish layer of a mine shaft.
So it goes...

That foil is wicked-cool.
