There's a new choice with Canada Post now - Tracked Packet. It's about $4 cheaper than Expedited. A tube cost me $16 instead of $20. Tracking and $100 insurance is included.
Not all the employees know about it, so you need to ask.

Yeah, I saw that new option a couple of times on their website, but it seems some tubes don't qualify cause of their size.. kind of like with Small Package.

Woot! From Toronto. I also have friends who work at the post office. Each worker seems to charge differently so beware!

Hey Tranito,

Just cut the tube down to 21 inches and it will qualify for small packet.

If you have 18x24 you can get away with making the tube smaller and saving some cash.
Also if you use a box or triangle box you save 1.50 for the tube charge, but you have to then buy a box or just reuse one.
I always get anything of value shipped in a box from the us without insurance to avoid the duties and make sure unless they total destroy the package it will make it up in good shape.
I'm in Canada and it costs more to ship everywhere, so get over it.

Tubes under 60cm qualify. You can get away with 18x24's in the smaller yazoos (pretty much 20" long i believe). But they are ONLY insurable up to $100, with no additional insurance available.

Hello,

A long-time lurker of the EB Forum here, finally breaking the silence just to say "Hi!" to everyone.

Since most of you seem to be from Ontario, I'll just say I'm from a small ski town down in the southeast corner of British Columbia.

Since I'm posting anyway, I may as well share an idea that may be a longshot at best:
With the guys from Mondo heading to conventions like Wondercon in Anaheim and Comic-Con in San Diego, it would be great if one day they would join in on some similar events north of the border as well.

Any thoughts on this?

Okay, back to the safety of lurking.

James White just added some of his Drive prints to the shop. Unnumbered.
