But he LOVES the show Big Brother, and premixed margaritas in foil packs.

Surely at least one of these has to be good...right?

Didn't mind the second one all that much. Neither of the two so far have struck me as really memorable, honestly.

Diff'rent strokes! I'm not judging. I hope Hobbit 3 is good. Good trailer, at least.

I haven't see any of the hobbits. are they all 3+ hours like the LOTR? As much as I like the story, after about 2 hours I start to lose focus.

The second one ran on way too long in my mind, both of them have for that matter. But tDoS has that whole sequence with the gold in the mine that just seemed to go on and on. I get that PJ wanted you to see the dwarves doing what they do, mining and smelting and all, but a dragon as "magnificent" as Smaug would not sit there and let them work through all of those steps.

I haven't seen any of the Hobbit in the theaters and that wont change for the 5 armies. It's not nearly as good as the first trilogy, which I saw multiple times in the theater including extended editions.

I'm hoping, rather than "extended editions" this time around, they do a 3-hour long cut of all three movies put together.

My main problem with Hobbit 1+2 have been the characters. Part of this is the prequel thing where I know certain characters are going to be completely fine, so there's no suspense or danger. Granted, this is based on a kids' book, so not so much with the dying anyway, but still. Thorin is okay, but most of the new characters haven't been developed well enough for me to care all that much about what they've got going on. I mean, we're 2 movies in and I can't remember a lot of the dwarves' names. By LOTR 3, I was really invested in the outcomes for most every character.

Coming to these weird, didn't sit and watch LotR till recently. And while I can see some things better in the first 3, I enjoy Bilbo and Thorin a lot. Also Dragons...

The weird CGI is in both so I call that a wash.
