Mondotees/Alamo Poster News & Rumors thread
Rich Kelly is awesome. I'm tired of SW prints though.

after Yoda, Chewie is my favorite SW character....suffice to say I'm all over this
Chewie looks great, but I just can't get past those Stormtroopers. Looks like they got run over by a steamroller.

Def gonna pass, dont care for it at all, and I am a big Chewie fan.

Reminds me of the zombie dwarf guys from Phantasm. I think they are cool.rmoore wrote:Chewie looks great, but I just can't get past those Stormtroopers. Looks like they got run over by a steamroller.

When I first looked at it, the storm troopers looked wonky (as do Chewy's skinny legs, looks like he's wearing furry bootcut jeans) ... but, the more I check it out, the more I like it.
It's not supposed to be a picture, but an artist interpretation ... this is Rich Kelly. I dig it.

Nifty poster, I was wondering about the paper...it seems greyish...is this the actual case (not being a pure white)? If so, that's pretty cool.
I have them all so far, and they're all framed.s_k_y wrote:How many Star Wars posters can one have?
Is anybody framing these?
I really love this one--I'm so glad to see Rich Kelly contribute to the series. It's great to see Star Wars through the lens/style of all these different artists.

Glad to see Chewie get some love but this looks way too weird for me.

With every release, we try to do something new and different and I can't think of many people that can do those things like Rich can. He's one of my favorite artists right now. It's funny when people say that this is out of proportion or the scale is off...have you never seen his work before?

I kind of like it. Some kind of weird distortion in the heat of battle sort of deal maybe? You know, like you see sometimes in some movies in a war scene. But I probably won't be getting this. I have too many hobbies . . . Barnes And Noble has 1/2 off Criterion DVDs and Blu-rays right now.

you seen the other prints, most show elongation in the pose, its rich's style, not everything is mainstream, rmoore wrote:Chewie looks great, but I just can't get past those Stormtroopers. Looks like they got run over by a steamroller.

I understand and dig the style...it's different-looking...almost like Japanese super-deformed figures...glad to see Chewie getting the spotlight on this one but will have to pass due to lack of funds. After yesterday's Horkey/Ryan Spring print, I'm bowing out for the next two weeks...unless I sell a kidney in the black market first. Anyone interested in a slightly-used kidney?
