I heard a quick review of Godzilla on the radio today.

The person referred to it as their new pick for one of the worst movies ever.

That doesn't sound promising.

Doesn't really jive with the general consensus but everyone's going to have an opinion. New pick for "worst movie ever" sounds a bit hyperbolic.

I'm taking my kiddo to see it after school :pint:

Every review I have heard has stated Godzilla is amazing, so more than likely that reviewer is a douche.

But he LOVES the show Big Brother, and premixed margaritas in foil packs.

You based your opinion off of one review?

I listen to the same radio station and heard the same review but then the DJ said later in the show that, that was the only negative review and stated that he must not like any movies.

I'm not basing my opinion on just one review, but it was the first I'd heard. I was hoping to get a conversation going and see what others have heard or seen.
The trailers look great. I just hope a good story goes with the great effects.

Critics on Rotten Tomatoes give it a 75% approval rating.

I saw it on Monday and loved it. Great atmosphere throughout the film and the last 40-45 min alone is worth the price of admission.

How'd you pull that off?

How'd you pull that off?
I get a ton of free screening passes since I moved to Austin. Sometimes they're weeks early (Cap 2) and other times a few days (Godzilla). If you dig around online I'm sure you can find some email lists that send out invites for them. Some cities get more than others though (when I was in DC I got very few).
