I've never left a theater mid movie, but this was the absolute closest I was to doing so. Don't waste your money, friends. TURRIBLE.

Thank goodness I paid for a matinee showing. I seriously felt like I wasted $8.25
Just one guys opinion

Nope. Lots of guys' opinions. But you've already stated you are impervious to taste. Have you seen it yet? Just curious. I'm trying to see it for as little as possible, will probably get to it tomorrow.

Alright I'm pretty forgiving when it comes to genre stuff but Sucker Punch was drymounting TERRIBLE. :vomit:
Please tell me Snyder isn't writing for his Superman reboot as well. :hanging:

He's not. The writer is David Goyer (Batman Begins, Dark Knight, Dark City) so there's hope. But I'm sure it will still have those cheesy Snyder slo-mo shots..

Snyder seems to be decent when adapting already established material. And there's no denying he has a distinct, if divisive, visual style. But Sucker Punch shows, at least from what I've heard, that he really shouldn't stray into original material.

So maybe he could produce something good.

Just something with characters and some sorta plot. Not a great plot, just any plot. It was very pretty and very frantic and seemed like a ADHD afflicted teenage boy's wet dream.
I'm getting too old for this fudge :)

Saw two movies this weekend.

Sucker Punch - Not for everyone but I am a bit shocked at the overall level of vitriol directed towards it. I thought it was decent but not great. If we're ranking Snyder films, not as good as Watchmen. Not a big fan of 300 or DOTD remake so I won't weigh in there. Certainly head and shoulders above your standard Michael Bay product.

I Saw The Devil - Liked this one a lot. Not going to say too much re: plot but if you enjoy extreme cinema that also has a solid narrative, check it out. It also seems tailor made for a Mondo poster at some point in the future. Lots of great imagery.

I wish Mondo would make an I Saw the Devil poster. I sent that in to them as a "please make this"... didn't happen (for theatrical release at least).

Every critical review I've read about Sucker Punch has been off (especially Richard Roeper I don't think he paid attention at all), it's like the critics didn't understand that almost 90% of the movie , (not just the fantasy fight sequences) were in the girl's fantasies, and not just Baby Doll but the other girls as well... It was almost like Shutter Island so to speak... I can't say much more about how I experienced the movie without spoilers... but I just think some peeps are missing the plot entirely

I really can't understand all the hate, but then again I thoroughly enjoyed Iron Man 2 and didn't get all the hate with it either.
