Also, didn't see it mentioned, but Silence TV did the two vehicle prints.

Bravo, sir.
The Silence TV prints were definitely the best surprise of Wednesday in my opinion. Absolutely gorgeous prints, and pretty unique among other Batman posters out there.

Had a member on here pick up the full set of pins for me. There are three that i want to keep. The other two are the Mondo manhole cover and the Iron Giant S, If anyone is interested in either of these PM me. Price was $11 on each of these after tax.

I'll try to keep this brief-ish.

As a record nerd, it's obvious from their pressings that they use Pirates Press. They're a broker out of San Francisco that uses a plant in Czech Republic. And they're the best based on my experience as a collector and a musician who occasionally presses records. They have the biggest selection of colors, color combinations, and really really high quality packaging (jackets, etc). When I buy a record, I can tell by looking at it and holding it that it's a Pirates record. Plus it's way more affordable to get the cool upgrades through them than anywhere else, which is perfect for all the gatefold, die-cut, color-in-color, haze, etc etc that Mondo does. But, you know, it's not made in the USA, if that's someone's concern.

There's actually a whole different process they're able to do in CZ called direct-to-metal mastering. They don't use lacquers, so it takes a step out of the pressing process. Makes a super clean, incredibly clear sounding cut, but sometimes does miss the magic of something that's done all analog top to bottom. There are so many steps to F up in record pressing.

Tl;dr- I could talk a lot more about this. Tell you what, first PM gets a record I pressed from Pirates where I spent way too much money on upgrades if you care and if you read this far.

Here's a fun thing to check out: http://piratespress.com/rotw/
Love it when people drop knowledge bombs. :pint:

All this Ansin talk has me thinking about that Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy print he did that never made it. Hopefully, we can get a Taylor NCFOM-style resurrection for it one day.

My guess is the SDCC folks are getting a Stout Guardians of the Galaxy variant. I assume a regular will make it to Mondo online drop in the next few weeks.

If you're at San Diego Comic Con right now, i have a contest going where you can win a handbill or two, plus those that play will be eligible for a free copy of my next mondo poster, whatever that may be.
