With beans is called a 5-way.
With beans is called yankee garbage :)

But on point, I also miss DylansDad...he was one of the nicest people on here and then one day people started accusing him of making fudge up to get a PB. Which is offensive and absurd. Then the pitchforks came out and I haven't really seen him since.

That said, I'm pretty sure most of the people that used to be regulars around here when I started have all left...except you RN and RottenAtam...I'll always have you.

I was super excited to see they had cans of it at a local grocery store a couple weeks ago. I had seen segments about Skyline on a couple different food/travel shows, and it always looked so good! I picked up a can to make Coney's, this bad boy...

It seemed pretty good at first, until the overwhelming taste of nutmeg/cinnamon completely took over my taste buds! I think it's something people in Cincinnati are probably used to since they grow up with it, but for an outsider such as myself, no bueno! Afterwards I also read that they put chocolate in it. Chocolate! I'm sorry, but that is just not chili!
Yeah, canned is garbage (I have 5 cans in the cupboard though  ). I don't even refer to Skyline as Chili, it's Skyline. It's funny over the decades, every time I go back and visit family to see all the added crap on Skyline's menu. As far as friends I have introduced it to, it's about a 50/50 split for them liking it or not.

As far as chili goes, my homemade ain't nothing like Skyline. I love all kinds of chili.

Gold Star is horseshit.
DonPiano wrote:Is it because you are all putting a whole kilo of cheese on your chilli that you had to suppress your gag reflex? I love cheese as much as the next guy, but these pictures of the chilli with mountains of cheese kinda defeat the purpose of it if you ask me.
The cheese they use is so finely shredded that you can hardly tell. Can't get it like that pre-packaged.

Most of them "come across" that way because they "act like" complete dickheads on EB.

If everybody acted on here the way they do in person, it'd be a much better place. And we could all still have fun too.

Yeah. It's not for everyone. When I lived in Cincy...we had good times at Skyline after closing the bar. 8)
