Oh I gave up on that Stout months ago. Wouldn't necessarily call it a failip, just a fail. I actually paid $100 for it. Lesson learned. :hanging:

I know! Maybe it'll be a surprise drop...
My Noob Confession: I used to actually type out "Drymount"

Expecting a Tweet about Oscar drops early in the morning. No way it won't happen after the Dallas Buyers Club drop the other day.

I was thinking just the opposite. If they were doing an Academy Awards thing certainly they would have saved Dallas Buyers Club for it.

Unless they have two DBC prints. Last year, they released two Django prints (although they were released the same night). I find it very hard to believe that Mondo would pass up on the biggest movie night of the year.

We'll get another Oscar drop the next year Quentin Tarantino has a movie up for best picture.

Have a feeling last year's Oscar drop was planned as a result of that single poster honestly

I would say it would have been more about the Academy really pushing for the prints last year. Having Olly Moss do the poster, having Gallery 1988's Oscar print giveaway.

Good point, they wouldn't have had a special Friday drop for it.

If there was a planned Oscar drop, it should have been announced on Mondo's blog by now. I'll be on standby mode during the show, but yeah, it ain't looking too good this year ...

I'm actually happy that there isn't a mondo fiasco tonight. I can just kick back and enjoy the show without f5ing and deciding if I want a print in 2 seconds. Plus I'm drained from the R.O.T. last night.

I think they would have saved Dallas Buyer's Club for the telecast if they were planning something like last year.

I am going along with the thought that they are slammed by the recent shows at the gallery and the upcoming Disney SXSW show.

How many places can screenprint the number of posters they are cranking out with the quality needed? (Look at the BTTF prints for the Durieux show)

I think if they were planning something, they would have announced it by now, but . . .

I hope I am wrong
