They're catering my wedding.
Make the drive.

(For something close to the convention center - Iron Works I'm pretty sure its called. 3 minute walk, not as good as Salt Lick but still good.)

if you're flying in take the extra 5 minutes to grab Saltlick at the airport. there is simply no better way to start your trip.

If there's something unique/special release or that hasn't gone on sale as of yet but is available on site, don't assume that it will last is my experience. If you know you want it, get it when you see it. IF you know that DD (for example) will be hawking 3 new prints, you still have to assume that he'll have limited quantities.
But yes, enjoy the time. Chat people up. Hang out at as many different tables as you can manage.

+1.. one thing in regards to chatting with the artists or even other people.. try not to hog up the booth or the artist's time if he is busy... bottom line is they are trying to sell stuff. not saying you shouldn't say hi or even might spend 15 mins or more talking with your favorite artist, but if there is a line of 20 people, its probably not the best time to ask him about his creative process

Don't forget to tell the artists how you'd pack and ship their posters if you were in their shoes. They love it when you do that. maybe comment on how their online sales could go smoother too.
