They did it for the release last year as well. Who knows what the backend paperwork and deals are, but I couldn't secure a pre-order for this one. Obviously didn't matter since the market has spoken over the constant price increases.

New print is "one of our most technically challenging paper editions to date". I'm not sure why, though. I don't see any James Jean fudge going on here.
Good point, it's not an 18x24! LOL

I don't own any Jean prints and generally don't care for the art but the pics and vids of the prints look incredible. I look at this and see a gold layer that's way off registration by my untrained eye. *shrug*

I think this image is OK, but it doesn't grab me $800 worth. One day I hope they'll do a print of something I like as much as Wonder Generation or Dreamrepeat. The wait continues.

Unfortunately/fortunately, registration not being perfect is something you'll find in all their prints. It used to bother me when I only owned one, but with most of their prints in my collection, it's a very charming "hand touch" to be off just enough to notice but not enough to impact the art.

I would be too. Are the spikes glass or plastic?

Seems Jealous Gallery have a Yellow Augmented Skies available.
They have it listed on Artsy.

They are only just finishing printing them, according to the last email I got, and they're finally getting signed tomorrow.
Probably some buyers have demanded refunds during the long wait since they went on sale, and freed a few numbers up.
