Haven't seen em in person, but Miles Johnston does his sculptures with them. He obvs likes em, and they all look good in pics.

Got the Heat Death framed up and on the wall. Happy with how it turned out.

First pics of the physical prototype for the Wilderness Sculpture from @mooncranepress, work in progress but demonstrating how the birds will be attached. Very excited!

Ahh, the good old days. I remember when these prints sat on Jem’s store for months on end, selling one here or there as the months rolled by. Took a long time for those to all sell. Maybe years? It wasn’t until after the Cosmo pieces started getting him some attention that people even noticed the other older pieces. This one having been done for Ashley Wood as an alternate comic pinup if I remember right (being Sham is an AW character).

Pretty sure the prints sold for $150 a pop, or there about. :/

I really want to like the new sculptures, as I was into the idea of a bronze one, but I really dislike all the plastic posts. Too distracting to me, and I can’t rationalize them away.

How else were they gonna keep the floating birds floating?

I was hoping they'd find a way to attach them to the figure at maybe 2 points each, so that it still looks they are floating.

Seeing the new pictures I will probably pass. The plastic rods look so cheap, and the figure looks like it stands on high heels. I don't understand the excitement on his instagram.

All of the above. I want to like it but it requires too much clear plastic and supports to make it work. The weightless feel is lost with all the 'scaffolding'...

it would make more sense to attach the birds to the figure at points where the wings/body could cover the attachments from normal viewing angles. the back leg shouldn't be attached to the base either. it should be able to be held by one foot.

It's a prototype. Doesn't that mean it's not final?

All the more reason to hold off on ordering until final product is realized.

Disparitys between prototype/concept and final production product are something collectors often have issue with. Sometimes it's the world of difference.
