one of the main differences between these and tristan's style is that shep's collage interrupt the various images (creating a layered effect) whereas tristan has a singular image that has diff colors/patterns but the overall image is fluid.

That tearaway/torn style has definitely been around, but it's SHRN. There was an artist that used to do it quite a bit in the 60s. Spacing on the name.
