it's not. specially when it doesn't automatically come mailed with the art. honestly a paper COA with a stamp that can be part of the framed piece seems way better to me.
Anything OBEY related
One upside is that you have verifiable history of how many times it's changed hands, and when.
As a side effect, it gives Obey more insight into secondary market behavior. They could identify serial flippers more easily and potentially not sell to them in the future. And if they were feeling generous, they could also identify large collectors (even secondary collectors) and reward them somehow. They could also do the Banksy thing and delay sending COA some number of months after the sale to discourage happy meal flippers, but I don't think it'd make much of a difference.

but it doesn't. unless there is a way to keep the print attached to the COA at all times. maybe in 5-10 years buyers will demand to be sent the COA on the chain after they buy a print. but there needs to be a way an owner of the print can scan something on the print to transfer the digital COA themselves without the seller involved. like encrypted RFID tag with an OBEY app.bsharp wrote: ↑Mon Jun 27, 2022 7:17 pmOne upside is that you have verifiable history of how many times it's changed hands, and when.

seriel flippers:
no because currently no way to force the COA to be transfered with the print. and wallets are a dime a dozen, take seconds to create.
primary buyers:
i mean you can already login to your obey account and see the pages of prints you bought. they already have the primary holder info of who is buying tons of prints. but yes if it ever happens to secondary.
large collectors:
do large collectors want to be tracked like this? $50 prints is one thing but $4k-$10k pieces? if i was dumping large amounts of money into an artist 0 chance i would use a single wallet so i could be tracked. anyone selling you one print would then know how to connect your wallet to your IRL info and know everything you own.

oof on the new drop this week. The hand has zero detail whereas the flower is full of it. I'm sure there's some meaning behind it but kinda off-putting imo.
pay via paypal, use credit card, file dispute at the 20 day mark if suspicious. don't deal with noobs. don't trade with noobs. request feedback ahead of time. there are lots of good people 'round here.

Looks more 'Never Made' than 'Hecho con Ganas'...
The lines on the top part of the stem need to extend farther. It looks like it's going behind the finger on top and in front on the bottom. It seems like such a simple thing, but the perspective is messed up and I can't unsee.
